Respectful and fair interaction
As a commercial enterprise, BTV moves in a demanding field of different interest groups: shareholders, employees, customers and the wider public. Through acting in a socially oriented manner and optimal usage of resources, BTV manages to satisfy the varied demands from both an ecological and economic point of view. A respectful and fair interaction with society and environment is at the heart of our actions.
Appreciating employees
At BTV, sustainability begins by treating our employees responsibly. BTV supports its employees through comprehensive additional benefits, such as private health insurance. BTV invests in its commitment to employees through the provision of extensive training and education opportunities. The development of young talents is also an important matter for BTV: As part of the "Dr Gerhard Moser going europe private foundation" the bank is supporting several dozen Austrian commercial high-school graduates with their education path in other European countries.
Protecting resources
The eco-efficient senior management attaches importance to a consistently sustainable banking business at all levels. BTV is reducing environmental pollution created by its own operations, by consistently monitoring consumption data. Here, special attention is given to reducing energy consumption and to handling resources in a way that protects them. In the area of procurement, BTV gives preference to environmentally-friendly, recyclable products. In new building projects or redevelopment of existing buildings in particular, BTV doesn't just take advantage of ecological added value, but the economic value as well: Energy-efficient heating systems, thermal insulation, lighting etc. all protect the environment and favour the budget.
Ethically correct products
The fact that BTV takes sustainability seriously is clearly reflected in its banking products. Thus the 3 Banken investment company offers the 3 Banken Nachhaltigkeitsfonds (sustainability fund), which complies with the specific needs of ethically oriented investors. The fund only invests in companies which contribute to a long-term sustainable ecological and social economic development. Issues such as water, renewable energies or health are particularly strongly represented.
