"Das BTV Stadtforum" book

With the Stadtforum, BTV has set new urban planning priorities in Innsbruck. This fact was acknowledged by the leading Austrian architectural journalist Otto Kapfinger, with his book on the BTV Stadtforum. Over 220 pages, he provides a worthy platform for the bank building designed by Heinz Tesar and opened in 2006. The book is available from BTV and in selected bookshops.

Heinz Tesar, born in 1939 in Innsbruck, is one of the most prominent architects of his generation. He works in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. His work cannot be ascribed to any particular school or style: against the background of profound learning, he develops an individual and subtle, composed style. He is famous for saying, "architecture begins before architecture."

Creating added value together

When building its new headquarters in Innsbruck, BTV placed its trust in the power of architecture to create added value. As several international architecture awards ultimately attest, the builders - together with all those who contributed to the planning and execution - were able to achieve standards that have received attention from far and wide. From urban planning to the interior - the BTV Stadtforum is widely cited.
